Our Place In Space

For slide based and fulldome planetariums

While solving a crossword puzzle about the sky, endangered animals explore the cause of day and night, the importance of our star the Sun, the beauty of the constellations, and the variety of objects that make up the Universe.

Our Place in Space is highly recommended by teachers because it clearly addresses their curriculum needs. The program presents the content in an engaging, humorous way without being over-stimulating. Educators have also been very enthusiastic about the script’s multi-disciplinary approach from the vocabulary to the animals and traveling to exotic locations.

Throughout the program students are encouraged to help solve the puzzle by shouting out the answers to the clues. Now imagine a whole room full of second graders answering the clue “a fun place to learn about space.” It has 11 letters. The third letter is an A; the eighth letter is an R, and the next to the last letter is a U. School doesn’t have enough letters. Observatory has the right number of letters, but doesn’t work either. You’ll have to see the show to find out.

Award winner:

Our Place in Space received Honorable Mention for 1993 audio-visual production from the Tennessee Association of Museums.

Our Place In Space is available for slide based planetariums and fulldome digital theaters in up to 4K x 4K resolution.
